Jane, I am so SAD and sorry to see that your Cortney has passed away. I was trying to locate you to tell you about our friend Casey passing and I came across Cortney's obituary. I was just tallking about you a few days ago when visiting Casey in hospital. Steve and I think of you often. (Especially in month of May) I will keep Cortney and your family in my prayers.

We, the families of The Compassionate Friends, send you our heartfelt condolences on Cortney's passing.
The Compassionate Friends is an international grief support group for parents, grandparents and siblings who have suffered the heartbreaking loss of a child. Our only mission is to provide comfort, hope and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or daughter, brother or sister, or grandchild, and to help others better assist the grieving family.
We meet monthly on the first Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, 99 W. Main St, Greenwood, IN 46142 and on the third Thursday at the Faith Apostolic Church, 1212 E. 116th St., Carmel, IN 46032.
If and when you are ready to do so, please join us for either, or both, meetings.

Cortney, I'm so terribly sorry that we didn't have another chance to talk. I want to you know that you were instrumental in convincing this Indiana boy to take on a more open and tolerant view of the world, and I still have bits of your poetry running through my mind.
