I played football with Coty and had a few classes with him in high school. Always laughing, smiling, and had a dry sense of humor. When I think back to high school, he still crosses my mind after all these years. Great guy, and his service is still an inspiration to me. Wishing his family all the best.

man i never even realized how much of a friend you were to me. always there during school to lift spirts up, joking around, just never letting anyone get down at all. Man i strive to be like you now. you were the best man.

My son served in Iraq and knew Coty. Coty came to his office 2 or 3 times a week to do legal claims. I would like to send Coty's family a story that my son wrote and some pictures that he took of the angel flight.

Had lots of fun in AIT even when I was supposed to be a leader as a reclass, i couldnt help but cut up at everything you said. Sorry it took so long to get in here, but i couldnt bring it to life when i heard. Sorely missed as a friend and a Fellow Paralegal.

Coty was a great friend to me and some of the people i hungout with. he lived across the street from a friend and we always hungout together. i used to have a major crush on him haha.. but i will always remember him.

Coty I wish I'd known you...you sound like a hell of a guy. You were only one year ahead of me at KHS and I had all the time in the world to meet you but I never did. Thank you for everything you've done for this country and for me. Rest in peace

I didnt really know him. I knew of him. I know we were in Fort Jackson at the same time. I was reclassing at the time and he was a few classes in front of me. I just recently found out what happened. I couldnt put a name to the face. Since I have found out I realize so many things of how life is. Everyone thinks life is something that should not be taken for granted, and as we see, it shouldnt. My thoughts and prayers are and always will be with his family as well as every other family that has lost a loved one overseas.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. to the family of a person who was a brother to me he was one of the greatest people i had ever met in my entire life he was equally good to bob and timmy also he is a outstanding individual and a great soldier there isnt a day that gose by that the memory of coty isnt in my head and my heart and you as the family are right there with him i want him back as bad as anyone else and it is still healing be remembering that he is looking down on all of us is a small comfort that we can get out of it.

I want to let those close to Coty know that he touched lives far beyond what you may think. I teach in Platteville, Wisconsin, and during the past year my students corresponded with soldiers in Iraq. Coty was one of our pen pals. My students treasured their letters, and read them aloud in class. Coty reached out to the younger generation, and now there are children in Wisconsin who carry part of his life and experience with them. Our love and sympathy goes out to Coty's family and friends.

Coty was the best friend anyone could ask for. He was always there for us. I know that he will be looking down upon us every minute and every day until we leave Iraq. I loved him like a brother and always will, and one day when we meet again, its going to be great. It was an honor to serve with you Coty and I will never for get you. NO GOODBYES... I will see you later buddy.

My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life, but I promised Brent that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.
We lost our son SFC Brent A. Adams on 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday. I wish so badly there were things I could say to you right now to make the pain you are feeling go away, but I know first hand there simply are no words that will bring you the comfort and peace your heart aches for. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you go through this tragedy moment by moment and as you mourn this loss.
We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with as our hearts both burst with pride and pain together.
I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally. While they can never be replaced, neither will they ever be forgotten. You must trust that sometime, someday the loving memories you have will help to sustain you and help you go on. This courageous soldier will forever be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well.
To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is your wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever.

As this war goes on it pains me to sign another fallen soldier's page. My son SPC Harry (Buck) Winkler was killed on November 12, 2006, I know all too well the pain the parents are going through.
