Craig Brent Bailey

December 9, 1946 - December 15, 2025

Craig Brent Bailey, age 79, of Hockessin, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2025, with his beloved wife of 53 years, Diane, and his daughters, Kristen and Alison by his side.

Born in Wilmington, DE on December 9, 1946, he was the son of the late Charles Wilkins and Jeannette (Cavalier) Bailey. Craig graduated from Brandywine High School with the class of 1964. He was a proud graduate of the University of Delaware where he earned his BS in 1968 and his MBA in 1970. He then served in the United States Army from 1970 until 1971, as well as the Reserves from 1971 until 1977. Craig made his career as a business manager at Sun Oil Company and CSC.

Craig was a cancer survivor for almost 8 years and cherished each day. He was an active member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, serving on the Pastor Parish Relations Committee. Craig served as commander of the Wilmington Power Squadron 1990, and loved all things related to the sea, especially the opportunity to retire and live at the beach for 15 years.

But he was most proud of his family: his daughters, Kristen Puican and Alison Biloon, and his wonderful sons-in-law, John and Joe, whom he described as the "best ever." Craig dearly loved his grandchildren, Brie Tulowitzky (Tyler), Evan Puican (Heather), Alexis and Kyle Biloon; great-grandchildren, Bennett and Samuel Puican, Elizabeth and Micah Tulowitzky; sisters, Fern Butler (Ted) and Gail Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 525 Polly Drummond Hill Road, Newark, DE 19711, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Craig's memory to All 4 Paws Rescue, P.O. Box 122, Chester Springs, PA 19425 or online by clicking here; or to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, at the address listed above or online by clicking here; or to Penn Medicine Oncology, Development and Alumni Relations, 3535 Market Street, Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA 19104 or online by clicking here.
