Craig Scott Erikson passed away just one week after suffering the sudden loss of his beautiful wife of 53 years, Theresa Ann Erikson.
Craig was a rising tide that lifted all those fortunate enough to live and work by his side. His impact remains but he will, and is, severely missed by those he left behind. Memories of his life and exceptional lessons learned are cherished and will continue to provide those who had the privilege to know him and have a strong foundation to build on.
Craig is survived by his three sons: Craig "Scott" Erikson II, Jason (Jami) and John (Chelsea). Craig has five grandsons: Nathan Todd, Tyler Joseph, Stone Calvillo, Nash Calvillo, Hayes Calvillo and three step-grandchildren: Robert "Bobby," Willow and Blue.
Craig was the first born of four children to Orval Clyde Erikson and Virginia Davidson in Prophetstown, Ill.
Craig is survived by his three siblings: Chris Erikson, Cynthia "Cindy" Sutton and Candace "Candy" Munck.
Craig was truly a self-made man with nurturing qualities, such as perseverance and hard work his entire life that resulted in incredible success from his own efforts. Craig was one to always stay the course, always tell it like it was (no sugarcoating it) and was a skilled negotiator coming from a position of strength. Family and loyalty were paramount to Craig. Craig was a tough man his entire life, but what can be more romantic than passing from a broken heart?
A celebration of life for friends and family to follow at a later date in the early summer of 2024.

I will miss our talks as you came down to visit your beautiful boat "Pizz-a-mind" at Singapore Yacht Club. Grateful to have seen you and amazing Terri at the Spring Party in May. Know that you both will be missed.

Craig's passing is very difficult to take in, and just one week after his wife passed. He was a strong and dedicated man as I worked for him for 13 years at MPH. I saw him as a kind and thoughtful person, even though he may have displayed, at times, a rough exterior. I am finding it difficult to believe that they are both gone but I feel that now they are truly united once more.

Craig loved this community and was always a no-nonsense guy. His was as honest as the day is long and his work ethic led others by example. He always had good questions for me on more than just the issue of the day and his ability to listen and react indeed helped influence me to be a better representative. Yes, Craig was very successful in so many ways including a wonderful family...but he cared about those less-fortunate in giving them a hand up and plenty of helpful advice. You could see that determination when you looked him in the eye. I will miss him for sure...Fred Upton
