Craig McGraw Obituary

CRAIG JACK MCGRAW Craig Jack McGraw, age 68, of El Dorado, Kansas, passed away peacefully at his home on July 2, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Craig was born on August 31, 1956, in El Dorado to Ron and Jo (Hurlburt) McGraw. He graduated from El Dorado High School in 1974 and went on to build a life rooted in love, family, and hard work. On May 5, 1978, Craig married the love of his life, Debra Lehr, in El Dorado. Together they shared 47 years of marriage and a lifetime of memories. Craig was a hardworking, dedicated man who spent his career building a legacy of integrity and craftsmanship. He began his professional life working alongside his father at Sunflower Roofing, a family company that Craig's grandfather started over 50 years ago; where he continued learning and developing a deep commitment to quality and service. Over the years, he took on increasing responsibilities and eventually managed the company with pride. Following his entrepreneurial spirit, Craig and Debra were the proud owners and operators of Lube Plus in El Dorado from 1999 until their retirement in 2023. His work ethic and attention to detail left a lasting mark on the industry and the community he served. A man of quiet strength and humble character, Craig was known for his hard work and dedicationnot only to his business but to his family and community. Craig's greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family. He loved being outside, whether it be fishing, hunting, or working to make his yard the beautiful sanctuary it is, to enjoy with his family and spend time together. Though he lived a simple life, Craig's legacy is rich in the love he gave and received. He is survived by his devoted wife, Debra; his children, Meghan McGraw, Andrew (Casey) McGraw, and Ryan (Alexa) McGraw; and his very loved grandchildren, Brooklyn and Greyson, Madden and Hattie, and Ellsyn, Steely, and Anistyn. Craig is also survived by his parents, Ron and Jo McGraw; his sister, Jodi McGraw, and her children, Jess and Mac; his mother-in-law, Beverly Lehr; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Julie and Mark Utech, along with their daughters, Katlyn and Kristyn. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father-in-law. A come-and-go gathering to honor Craig will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Kansas Oil Museum in El Dorado. Friends and loved ones are invited to attend and share memories of a man whose presence will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Susan B. Allen Cancer Center.
