So sorry to hear of his death. I played for Coach Kennedy in the late sixties at Druid Hills. He truly was a great man and a great coach. He will be greatly missed by the entire Druid Hills Nation.

I had the honor of working with and coaching with Crawford in the late 1990's at St. Pius X Catholic High School. His players loved him and we as coaches loved him. Everyday at practice he would tell us one of his many stories about a coach or one of his former players. His stories were great! I laughed every day at practice. He was very patient with me and very realistic about the game of football. I could tell that he had a passion and love for the game and teaching these boys about becoming responsible men of character and integrity. I will miss you brother. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He shine His face upon you.

I´m so sorry to hear this sad news. I worked with Crawford during his time at St. Pius X Catholic High School. What I remember most about him was his quiet and gentle demeanor. But underneath there was definitely a sense of humor and strength of character that defined him as well. He imparted those values to his students and athletes both in the classroom and on the field throughout his long career.
He was never more animated than after he became "Crawdaddy" to his first grandchild, Sally. She was a great source of joy in his life and he didn´t hesitate to tell people all about her. My prayers are offered for all of his family at this difficult time. May God be with you all. Crawford will be missed.

My heart goes out to the family. Coach Kennedy was the best man that I have ever had the opportunity to coach with. I joined his staff in 1986 at Avondale High School. I cherish those memories. My thoughts and prayers are with Coach and his family at this difficult time.

I coached with Coach Kennedy at Avondale H.S. when we won the state championship. He taught me so much about coaching, communicating with the players, and life itself! He was so personable with the coaches and players on and off the field. One amazing athlete and man. Prayers for Phyllis and family for peace and strength.
