Cristie Lee Hofer

Cristie Lee Hofer, 58, a lifetime Morgan County resident, entered eternal rest on Thursday January 23rd, 2025, in the comfort of her home. She was born Friday, May 6th, 1966, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Linda Ann (Carnicom) Shafer and the late Kenneth Lee Shafer, Jr.
She was a Martinsville High School graduate with the Class of 1984. Cristie worked for the MSD of Martinsville in various capacities, working in the cafeteria at Smith Fine Arts Academy Elementary School, special education at Green Township School and the main office of the school district. She was also a dedicated homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother.
She was formerly active with the Green Township PTO, serving as past president. Her love for Disney was immeasurable. She also enjoyed bowling.
She leaves behind a host of loving family including her husband, Anthony Robert "Tony" Hofer, whom she married on August 25th, 1995, he survives, living in Camby, Indiana. She also leaves behind her children, Jason Hunt (wife, Rachel) of Paragon, Indiana and Alexander Stewart Hofer of Camby and daughter, Baileigh Montana Hofer of Broad Ripple, Indiana, mother, Linda Ann Shafer of Camby, sister, Cinnamon K. Shafter of Camby, half-sister, Victoria Shafer-Lechner of Indianapolis and her granddaughters, Evelyn and Nora Hunt.
In honoring her wishes, her earthly remains will be cremated. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, January 31st, 2025, from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm and one hour prior to service time on Saturday, February 1st at the funeral home. A service celebrating Cristie's life will begin Saturday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
