Crystal "Kris" Hahn, born on July 31, 1960, in Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on October 22, 2025, at a local hospital, surrounded by her loved ones. She was known for her vibrant personality and enduring passion.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a Rosary service at 7:00 PM. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
A proud graduate of North High School, she went on to earn her bachelor's degree from Briar Cliff, laying a strong foundation for her professional journey. Kris dedicated many years of her life to teaching in Ponca, Nebraska, where she positively influenced countless students. Her career continued at Gateway.
In her personal life, Kris was a source of light and laughter. Described as full of life and sassy, she embraced every moment with enthusiasm. Her hobbies included reading and cherishing quality time with her children and family, a testament to her deep connections and love for those around her.
Kris leaves behind her father, Bruce Hansen of Sioux City; her forever partner, Cindy Richards of Sioux City; and her children, Samantha Charrouf of Kansas, McKenzie Ftacek, Jaxson Richards, and Victoria Richards, all of Sioux City. She adored her seven grandchildren and took immense joy in their lives. Kris is also survived by her brothers, Robert Hahn Jr. (Salama) and Mark Hahn (Michelle).
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Hansen; her sister, Debbie Yates; as well as her paternal and maternal grandparents.
