Ms. Crystal Marie Matfield

Crystal Marie Matfield departed this life on August 7, 2025 at Baptist Medical Center Springhill in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on December 11, 1983 the second of two children born to Ravalon Matfield and Maxine (Glasgow) Matfield in Kansas City, Missouri. Her mother preceded her in death.

Crystal joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend J. J. Woods, Sr. at a young age where she was a member of the choir. She was a graduate of Raytown South High School in Raytown, Missouri. She was employed for many years as a waitress at Denny's and several other restaurants. She later graduated from Concord and became a dental technician as an assistant for a local dental office.

Crystal moved to Pine Bluff a few years ago and then moved to Sherwood, Arkansas a few years later where she housed several foster children in both Pine Bluff and Sherwood .

She leaves to mourn her passing , her father, Ravalon Matfield (Debra); finance, Jimmy Tyrone Poole; two daughters, Tanya Cornelius, St. Joseph, MO and Angel Renee Cornelius, Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Drake Allen Matfield, Kansas City, MO and Ravalon Matfield, Jr.; one sister, Ravshundna Matfield; three step brothers, Christopher Thompson, Aaron Smith and Robert Smith, Jr.; two step sisters, Yolanda King and Lisa Teague (Ricky) and her godmother, Delois Lewis.

Surviving aunts and uncles, Linda K. Burton, Kansas City, MO, Tressa D. Woodberry (Lyle), Prescott, AR; two brothers, Kermit Glasgow, Jr. (Lucinda), Prescott, AR and Calvester Glasgow (JoAnn), Magnolia, AR, a host nieces and nephews, Draco Matfield, Faith & Hope Matfield, Ravalon Matfield III, Xavier Matfield, Marcellious Cobb, a host of cousins other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, August 23, at 5:00pm at Watkins Heritage Chapel. Private Disposition. Visitation 4:00pm-5:00pm at the chapel. Arrangements entrusted to Watkins Heritage Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
