Crystal was born the daughter of Leroy and Florence (Oakman) Brown on April 22, 1980 in Wichita, Kansas.
A spirited and compassionate soul, Crystal was a beacon of creativity and talent, painting vivid colors on the canvas of life. Crystal's zest for life was contagious and reflected in her varied interests. A huge NASCAR fan, she passionately cheered on Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr., her enthusiasm lighting up the room whenever a race was on. A visit to the Dollar Tree store was not just a shopping trip for Crystal, but an adventure, as she sought out materials for her arts and crafts projects. A gifted painter, her art was a visual testament to her creative spirit. Crystal's love for food was well-known, as she relished in the delights of various cuisines. As a published poet, she penned her heart out in verses that echoed her experiences and emotions.
Crystal is survived by her husband, Virgil Tidwell of Winfield, KS; son, Cameron Denwalt of Chandler, OK; step-children; Aserea Champion of Wichita, KS; Mersadies Tidwell of Lindsay, OK; Charles Tidwell of Wellington, KS; sister, Melissa Ryberg of Winfield, KS; aunt Charlote Barnes (Fred) of Wellington, KS; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Brown; brother, Jeremy Green; and great nephew, Titus Ryberg.
A viewing will be held for Crystal on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at the Cornejo Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 1030 Mission Road, Wellington, Kansas, 67152.
Following cremation, there will be services planned by the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to the funeral home to assist with her cremation expenses. All donations will be used to support her family during this time of need.
