Cuba Jullie Thompson, age 82, of Roosevelt passed away December 11, 2025 of natural causes surrounded by family at Uintah Basin Medical Center.
She was born May 8, 1943, to Fredrick C.T. & Alberta J. Miles Lindsay in Price, Utah. Her grandparents are George Geddes & Rose Mary Thompson Lindsay, and Luchious Marion & Christine J. Huddleston Miles.
Cuba and her brothers were raised in Mountain Home, Utah. She enjoyed life on the farm and loved to ride her horse, Cindy. She attended school in Altamont, Utah and graduated from Altamont High School in May, 1961. Following high school, she attended Stevens-Henager Business College in Salt Lake City.
Cuba married Randall V. Thompson (son of Edmond F. & Josephine Myrth Fenn Thompson) in Mountain Home, Utah, on May 20, 1961. They were sealed in the Manti Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on August 17, 1962.  They raised a beautiful family of seven children.
She supported her husband as he completed four years of active duty in the United States Air Force, during which time they lived in Denver, Colorado and in Blytheville, Arkansas. While in the Air Force, they had two daughters - Corina and Mindy. They then spent four and a half years in Provo, Utah where Randy attended Brigham Young University. While there they had two more children, David and Jenni. After leaving Provo, they moved to Livermore, California for a year and then back to Mountain Home, Utah where they had three more children, Sally, Danny, and Brandie.
During their years in Mountain Home, Cuba spent 14 years running the front desk in the main office at Altamont High School. The students came to love, respect, and trust her. She and all the students knew each other on a first name basis, and she was very fond of them.
After their children were raised and left home, they moved to Roosevelt where her husband could be closer to his work as an engineer at Moon Lake Electric.  While in Roosevelt, Cuba transferred from Altamont High School to Union High School where she spent nine years as the attendance secretary. The bond she had with the students in Altamont was repeated with the students at Union. The kids would come to Cuba with their problems before they would go to anyone else. The parents also came to trust, confide, and rely on her.
Throughout all their married years, Cuba, Randy, and the family were devoted members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where they gave many years of service, and wherever they traveled, members of the church treated them as beloved members of their own family. This kindness and bond will never be forgotten. Their faith in the Restored Gospel has been the guiding light of their life. Whatever successes they have had they attribute to the love of the Savior and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They know they will be reunited hereafter.
Cuba is survived by her husband of 64 years, Randall, of Roosevelt; children Corina (David) Sam, David (Dawn) Thompson, Jennilee Thompson, Sally (Jeff) Coltrin, Danny Thompson, Brandie (Nick) Keyser; 24 grandchidlren, 35 great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Brad Allred; brother, Craig (Eileen) Lindsay; a sister-in-law, Shirley Lindsay; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mindy Allred; and her brother, Fred Lindsay.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Roosevelt West Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  There will be a viewing from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church.
Burial will be in the Mountain Home Cemetery.
