C.D. Buff, 93, of Spartanburg, SC, was born September 4, 1931, in Rutherfordton County, NC to the late Curtis Sanford and Lottie Stanley Buff. He left his earthly home on June 21, 2025, for an all-new heavenly home.
He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Margaret Ophelia Weaver Buff, who he married on October 13, 1951.
He was a U.S. Army vet who proudly served his country in the Korean War. After his service, he and Margaret moved to Spartanburg where he worked in the textile industry for several years. Later, he owned and operated a convenience store and finally settled in the real estate market until he retired.
C.D. was a beloved father to his sons, Steve Buff (deceased), Cliff Buff (Cindy), and Ray Buff. He was a grandfather to his five grandchildren Ryan (Scotty), Gena (Chris), Mendy (Carl), Adam (Ally), and Christian. He was also very proud of his four great grandchildren Logan, Regan, Cecilia, and Charles. He is survived by his sisters, Irene and Jackie, and his brother Jim.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 10:45 am, Saturday, June 28, 2025, Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, with interment immediately following the service in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Services will be conducted by The Rev. Rick Brown.
Pallbearers will be Carl Godman, Chris Bonner, Christian Buff, and Logan Godman.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice House, 686 Jeff Davis Dr. Spartanburg, SC 29303.
