Skyvue Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens - MansfieldCurtis Ryan Hailey, age 63, of Mansfield, TX, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
Curtis Ryan Hailey was born on July 15, 1962, at Camp Wolters Army Hospital in Mineral Wells, Texas, to William and Juanema Hailey. As the son of a military father, Curtis lived in several places growing up, but his heart always belonged to Texas. He graduated from Perrin-Whitt CISD, where he played football and basketball, ran track, and served as class president. He was also active in FFA, proudly raising a hog that earned Grand Champion honors.
Curtis loved the outdoors and spent countless hours hunting, exploring the backroads and hauling hay. One of his favorite stories to tell was about raising a baby barn owl, a memory that perfectly captured his curiosity and love of nature.
He graduated from Northwood University (while starting his career at LTV/Vought Aircraft.) In his forty year career at Northrop Grumman, he supported numerous military products and took great pride in the work he did. He, himself, was a veteran and served in the Army in his young adult years.
He married his sweetheart, Rhonda Gail Roberts, on May 21st, 2001 and they enjoyed making family memories in Mansfield, Texas.
Curtis’ greatest pride and joy were his children. His love was steady and unwavering, shown not through grand gestures but by always being there; every daddy-daughter dance, every Boy Scout hike and camping trip, every school function, and every soccer or golf event. He supported us through the highs and lows with quiet strength and wisdom. Whether it was early mornings at the driving range, late-night conversations, or fixing a fishing pole, it was the everyday moments that mattered most. He was a great man and though he is no longer with us in body, his love and guidance will continue to surround us. We love you, Dad.
Curtis is preceded in death by his parents William and Juanema Hailey and his brother, Charles.
Curtis is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda; his children, Courtney, Sarah, and Ryan; and grandchildren; his siblings, Bill Hailey and wife Cheryl, Lorna Hailey, Tess Gouldson and husband Craig, Derek Hailey and wife Dee, and Mark Hailey; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He also leaves behind special family friends Billie and Kenneth Gillespie, and their children, Jenny and Jeff.
A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held on February 19th at 12:00 PM at Ruthe Jackson Center, 3113 S. Carrier Pkwy, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. This will be an informal, come-and-go gathering for friends and family.
A private service will be held at DFW National Cemetery
