Curtis Jones Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by The House of Day Funeral Service, Inc. on Mar. 5, 2026.
Curtis Lee Jones, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife, Dorothy by his side on February 27, 2026.

Curtis was born July 23, 1945 to the union of Jimmie Lee and Florence Jones. Curtis accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age and was a faithful member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church until his illness.

Curtis was a graduate of Jessup W. Scott, Forever a Bulldog! He worked at US reduction, Builders Square and retired from BOB.

Curtis enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his Westerns, and staying in the know of what was going on in the Community and around the world, by keeping up on the news. Despite of what was going on, He knew and believed that God was in control. Curtis loved all types of music. He was a big fan of the soulful sounds of The Temptations and the uplifting spirituals of Rance Allen and Lee Williams.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie Lee and Florence Jones, two brothers Calvin Jones and Eugene Jones, Sisters, Wilma Jean Smith and Mary Ann Savage.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his beautiful, loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Dorothy Jones. Two Beautiful Daughters Cynthia and Tammy Jones, Toledo, OH. One Amazing Granddaughter, Tiffany (Tyree) Allen and an Awesome Great Grandson Tristan Allen, all of Toledo, OH. Brother, Marvin (Patricia) of South Carolina, God Children Theresa (Garland) Edwards and Andrea (Paul) Flowers, both of Toledo, OH, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and dear friends.
