Mr, Curtis Leroy Jones

Born on February 12, 1923 in Smith County, Texas and passed away November 20, 2012 in Garland, Texas at the age of 89. Loving brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. A World War II veteran, Mr. Jones spent much of his life in East Texas (mostly in the Henderson, Texas area) as a store manager for a well service & supply company before moving to the Dallas area some years after his retirement. He married the love of his life, Eileen Harris, in 1945, and they were happily married for over 67 years. Both prior to and following his retirement, he and his wife were active for many years in the Volunteer Christian Builders organization, helping to build churches nationwide. He is preceded in death by brother Rayford Jones and sister Irene Garrett. Survivors include his wife Eileen Jones of Garland, Texas, son Philip Jones and wife Michelle of Mesquite, Texas, grandchildren Shane Jones of Fresno, Texas, Chris Jones and wife Shannon of Keller, Texas, Tim Jones of Mesquite, Texas, and Amy Jones of Denton, Texas. He is also survived by sisters Mildred Harrist and husband Kenneth of Doddridge, Arkansas, and Helen Griffith and husband John of Coushatta, Louisiana.
