God is the keeper of our mind and soul, and even in times of grief and sorrow, His love and strength can make us whole.

Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mr. Curtis Lee Vant McPhatter, 73, of Kinston, who died on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at his residence.

Curtis was born February 6, 1952, in Fayetteville, NC, to the late Wilson McPhatter and Dora Mae Dixon McNeill.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Wanda McPhatter of Kinston, NC; three children, Tanesha Hall of Kinston, NC, Curtis McPhatter of New York, NY and Le'Andra McPhatter of Hartford, CT; one sister, Alice McPhatter of Washington, DC; two aunts, Annie Rose Cox and Mollie Webster of Fayetteville, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews extended family members and dear friends.

The Service of Remembrance honoring his life and legacy will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025, in the Memorial Chapel of Trinity Funeral Service, 1276 U.S. Highway 258 North, Kinston, North Carolina.

Interment with military honors will follow at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

A public viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
