Curtis E Nelson

Curtis E. Nelson, 78, of Avon Park, died Thursday morning, May 19, 2022 at his home. Born to Vernice Everett and Luna (Cason) Nelson in Jasper, FL he lived most of his life in Avon Park. He worked for over 45 years at Big "T" Tire in sales. Curtis was a member of First Baptist Church, Avon Park serving having been a deacon, Sunday School teacher and leading RA's. He was an avid photographer and woodworker. He loved people and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Edwin Nelson, Tillman Watson and Tiny Bond. Curtis is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jane Nelson; children, Kim (Robert) Farabee and Kevin (Stephanie) Nelson; siblings, Martha Jean Beckham, Leon Watson and Nelda Sue Phillips; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchild; many nieces and nephews. A funeral services will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 3 pm at First Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior.
