Curtis Alan Nixon, 37, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 26, 2025, at his home.

Curtis was born August 15, 1988, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Kevin Ralph Nixon and Connie Avila Nixon. He was adopted as a small child by Ralph C. Nixon and Sharon Gardner Nixon of Idaho Falls. He attended Fairview Elementary, Rigby High School, and graduated from the State of Idaho Online High School.

He enjoyed fishing with Kevin, hunting, mountain man rendezvous, cowboy reenactment shoots, and history. He was a voracious reader and was told by his mom that he couldn’t buy any more books as he had too many. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He married Cassi Lee Henry in January 2019 in Idaho Falls. To this union was born Jaxen Nathaniel Nixon and James Charles Nixon. Curtis and Cassi later separated.

Curtis is survived by his mother, Sharon; his two sons, Jaxen and James; his siblings, Sheri Dawn (Rod) Cleverley, Belynda Green, Kamille (Bryce Ponce) Tuma, Cody (J’Lene) Nixon, Cassie Lynn Oswald, Gabby Capron, and Fisher Capron; stepbrother, Gage Larson; stepsister, Shalae (Jared) Barker; biological father, Kevin Nixon; and biological mother, Connie Avila.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Charles Nixon; sister, Teresa Jo Nixon; and brother, Damian Bird.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Parri Ward, 12448 North 5th East, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends from 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Grant-Central Cemetery.
