Curtis Robinson Jr.

Curtis Robinson Jr., affectionally called Sonny, was born July 12, 1939 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He attended and received his education in the Pine Bluff school system.

 

Curtis accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age. He was called to the ministry and ministered for over fifty years.

 

Curtis moved to Houston, Texas in the early 1970’s and was employed by Border Securities for many years until his retirement.

 

On February 14, 1999, Curtis married the love of his life Shirley Reynolds. This union lasted twenty-four years, until he was called home to be with the Lord.

 

Curtis departed this life on November 4, 2023. He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving and devoted wife, Shirley. Sons; Dewayne (Rochelle), Roderick (Olivia), Michael, daughter De’Woina, stepson Orville. Grandchildren; Corey, Rochelle (Fred), Ashley, Brittany, Jayla, Ja’len, Ja’Neceia, Bryce, Michael Jr., Mikekel, Albert, Mikekile’on Kemyra, King. Great-grandchildren; Skylar, Tru, step grandchildren; Venus, Dennis. Brothers; Cleophus, Samuel Jr. Sisters Doris, Margaret, and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins. Also leaving to mourn his passing, his nurse/friend Danielle Hayes, who cared for him during his illness.

 

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents Samuel & Ida, maternal grandparents Curtis and Izalee, step grand mother Theola, brother Alonzo, nephews Jamal, Dion, and Raheem.
