Curtis Wayne Ryder, age 75, of Damascus, Va., passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at his home. He was born July 8, 1950, to the late Arnold Ryder and Elizabeth Sharp Ryder in Arlington, Va.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was also preceded in death by three siblings, Jimmy Ryder, Wanda Hughes, and Phyllis Malick.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sharon Adams Ryder; two children, Dwayne Ryder of Manassas, Va. and Wanda Ryder Brown and husband, Mark, of White Top, Va.; six siblings; five grandchildren, Tiffany Orren, Dekota Ryder, Cheyenne Ryder, Kacey Brown, and Liam Brown; and two great grandchildren.
