Curtis Wayne Woodlock passed away after a lengthy illness in his home of Lago Vista, TX on July 14, 2025. He was 78 years of age. He was in the care of Accent Care Hospice of Marble Falls, TX.

Curtis was born in Abilene, TX on December 22, 1946, to Ellis Devoe Woodlock and Edna Jeane Sadler Woodlock. He grew up in the Abilene area. Curtis attended Allen Military Academy in Bryan, TX of which he graduated in 1967. He spent one year in Vietnam and three years in Bermuda before returning to Addison, TX and working for Ford Motor Company. He retired in the eighties and returned to Abilene, TX.

In 1992, he married Deborah Nance McCandless and acquired 3 stepchildren who have survived him in death. He also has 8 step grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren.

He is survived by a sister, Ellen Kay Jordan of Montgomery, TX and a brother Donald Woodlock of McKinney, TX. He also has 1 nephew and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carole Jeane Hurley.

In 2004, he and his wife moved to the Austin area and finally settled in Lago Vista, TX in 2009. Curtis worked as a salesman for roofing until 2015.

His favorite things were golfing, traveling with his wife to play golf at various courses in the United States and Bermuda, working in the yard and taking care of his two dogs, Simba and Squeaker.

A small family gathering was held at Beck's Funeral Home in Round Rock on July 16, 2025. He will later be interred at Elmwood Memorial Garden in Abilene, TX at a later date this year.
