Obituary For Cynthia Darlene Allen
Cynthia Darlene Allen, was born April 29, 1960 to Beadie Mangum-Allen and Isaiah Allen in Roxboro, North Carolina. Cynthia attended Durham Public schools and was a 1978 graduate of Northern High School. She went on to receive a degree in Nursing at Durham Technical Community College.
Cynthia dedicated her life to healthcare and spent many years working as a nurse in rehabilitation facilities. She was loved by many of her coworkers and remained in touch throughout the years even after her retirement.
Cynthia enjoyed cheering on her sports teams year round. Everything from football to basketball, she loved her North Carolina Tar heels and Kobe Bryant. In her spare time she also enjoyed online shopping, she would order a stock pile just to give it all away to friends and family and would start ordering all over again. Cynt loved reading, adding on to her library, Costco shopping, trying new restaurants, hosting events for the holidays and family cookouts.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her Father Isaiah Allen, her beloved son Adrian Allen and her sister Melody Verissimo. She leaves to mourn her mother Beadie Lockett of Durham, NC. One brother Reginald Allen of Durham, NC. Two sisters Carla Lewis (Thalvis) of Durham NC and Marla McClellan of Murrieta, CA. Four nephews,Brandon Allen, Darius Allen, Adrian Lewis and Tariq Sanyika all of Durham, NC. Two nieces, Cyntell Allen and Jasmine Allen both of Durham NC. Four great nephews Isaiah High, Elijah Greene, Amari Lewis and Melo Allen-Sykes all of Durham North Carolina. Three great nieces, Brionna High, Tatiana High and Rihanna High all of Durham, NC. One godson TyQuan Barnes of Durham, NC; and a host of loving cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS:
Service: Thursday, August 29, 2024 | Visitation service from 12:00 to 1:00 pm | Funeral service starts at 1:00 pm.
Place of service:
Red Mountain Baptist Church
Rougemont, NC.
Interment:
