Cynthia Diane Barbour, 71, of Mount Vernon (formerly of Brecksville, OH) peacefully went to be with Jesus on July 17, 2025. She was born on February 26, 1954 to Edward and Elizabeth (Leedy) Powers of Brecksville, OH.
Cynthia was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She began her working career alongside her husband Bill in the clubhouse at Irish Hills Golf Club. Cindy was a prosecuting attorney for the City of Mount Vernon until she started her work as a Magistrate for the City. Cindy was known for her thoughtful gift giving. She had a wealth of Barbie doll knowledge, which she enjoyed sharing with others. Cindy was known as "Nana" to her three grandchildren Pierson, Brooks and Hadley, who were the light of her life and will miss her dearly. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family who she was deeply devoted to.
Cynthia is survived by her husband Bill Barbour; her son Billy (Heather) Barbour; grandchildren Pierson, Brooks and Hadley; Bob Powers, Danny (Julie Matthews) Powers; sisters-in-law Patty, Sally (Dave Thornton) and a nephew Kevin White.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of a formal service, a Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 4:00pm - 6:00pm at Irish Hills Golf Club, where family and friends are invited to gather and honor Cindy's memory.
