Cynthia Gail "Cindy" Ross, 74, of Benton, KY, moved on to be with the Lord Friday, June 13, 2025, surrounded by family and friends at her home.

Born December 22, 1950, in Murray, KY, Cindy was the daughter of the late Howard Damon Mathis and the late Alma Jo (Ernstberger) Mathis. She was a successful commercial insurance underwriter, working for Peel & Holland, Inc. in Benton, KY and retiring from Western Rivers Insurance Agency in Paducah, KY. Cindy loved gardening, traveling and spending time with her friends and families. Cindy was a founding member of Community Bible Church of Marshall County and later attended Christian Fellowship Church in Draffenville, KY.

Those left to cherish wonderful memories of Cindy include her son, Jonathan Ross of Benton; daughter, Heather (Scott) Brasington of Adairsville, GA; grandchildren, Alexandra Brasington and Zachary Brasington, both of Adairsville, GA; sister, Debby (Larry) Orr of Crossland, KY; and many much-loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her brother, Glen Mathis.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, with Rev. Richie Clendenen and Rev. Ricky Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Stewart Cemetery, Dexter, KY.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, 713 South 4th St., Murray, KY.
