Cynthia "Cindy" Cline

Cynthia "Cindy" Cline, 76, of Decatur, Ill., beloved sister and aunt, went home to Jesus on November 15, 2025, at Eastview Terrace, in Sullivan, Ill.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, in Decatur. Funeral service will immediately follow at 12 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park.
Cindy was born in Oregon, Ill., on December 20, 1948, the daughter of Dale and Louise (Okey) Cline. She proudly attended Stephen Decatur High School, where she participated in student council, many choral and theatrical groups, and graduated as the Salutatorian of her class. She was chosen as a Champaign News Gazette All State Cheerleader in 1966 during the IHSA state basketball tournament. Go Runnin' Reds! When she was 17, she was crowned Junior Miss Decatur and went on to place in the top 10 in the state competition. She also played the guitar and sang in a musical trio called "We Three." She was honored in high school as an American Field Service finalist who studied abroad in Brazil. She then went on to graduate from Illinois State University with her bachelor's degree in Theater and a minor in Spanish.
Cindy moved to New York, N.Y., in 1973 to begin showcasing her talents as an actress, appearing in Guiding Light, One Life to Live, and As the World Turns. She also starred as the lead role in the movie "UFO-Target Earth" in 1974 and appeared in the movie "Greencard." She was a member of the Screen Actors Guild and various other acting organizations. Cindy also served as a spokesperson for Buick and Peugeot Motor Company and worked at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City. She loved her time living in NYC in the Park Royal building until she moved back to Decatur in 1996. She cherished her membership in the Marble Collegiate Church in NYC and was also a former member of Grace Methodist Church in Decatur. Her steadfast faith in God gave her strength throughout her life.
Cindy loved to travel and cherished her family and friends. She adored her twin brother Jim and always made every holiday memorable and special. Her starring role in life was being a fun and incredible godmother to her nieces and nephews.
Cynthia is survived by her twin brother- James Cline of Decatur, Ill.; nephew- Kyle (Rebecca) Cline of Dunlap, Ill.; nieces-Amy (Dustin) Graham of Lake Mary, Fla., and Julie (Wil) Spent of Sanford, Fla.; great-nieces and nephews- Isabella Cline, Caleb Cline, Darius Cline, Sydney Graham, Quinn Graham, Jack Spent and Jett Spent.
She is preceded in death by her parents and nephew- Tyler Cline.
Cindy loved spending time at the lakefront and reading in the parks and the rock garden. Memorials in Cindy's name may be made to the Decatur Park District.
