Cynthia "Cindy" DeSteno, 65, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, at Toms River Community Medical Center.

Cindy was born on August 11, 1959, in Jersey City, NJ. She spent her early years in Jersey City before her family settled in Bayonne, where she built a life filled with laughter and love. Later in life, she moved to Toms River with her devoted husband, Lawrence "Larry" DeSteno, sharing 19 wonderful years of marriage.

Cindy was the heart of her family. She was everything to her son Stephen and her spirited puppy Bentley, who brought her constant joy and energy. Cindy was a cherished sister and sister-in-law to Laura and Phil Buturla, Daniel and Cheryl Zuk, Suzanne and Jorge Baez, and Betteanne Zuk. She was a loving aunt to Janine, Bryan, Dana, Daniel, Alyssa, Bria, Rylyn, Kenley, Addison, Kelly and Haley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Sr. and Carla Zuk, and her brother, Andrew.

Professionally, Cindy dedicated 43 years of her life to Morgan Lewis, retiring in 2024. As an Executive Assistant to multiple partners, she was known for her work ethic, loyalty, and unshakable dependability. She never sat still for long, whether it was a small project at home or a big idea she could not wait to bring to life, she poured her whole heart into everything she did. She always thought of others before herself and found joy in bringing a smile or laughter to someone's day.

A remembrance of Cindy's life will be held privately by her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Cindy's memory.

Cindy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and endless love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
