Cynthia Diane Elkins, 62, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Wednesday December 27, 2023 at Northwest Health-La Porte.

She was born September 14, 1961 in Huntington, West Virginia, the daughter of Vernon Elkins and Dorothy L. (McClure) Elkins, who preceded her in death.

Cynthia was a Christian who was devoted to her family. She worked as a materials handler for Hydro Extrusions for many years. Cynthia was somewhat of a homebody, but she also enjoyed going out roller skating or eating popcorn at the movies. She also liked playing the slot machines at the casino and was an avid Elvis fan. Cynthia was a good cook and made excellent scalloped potatoes. She loved taking evening strolls by the lake, especially with her children and grandchildren.

Cynthia is survived by her two sons, Donovan (Randi) Elkins of Plymouth, IN, Ronald (Megan) Blake Jr. of La Porte, IN; daughter, Brittany Blake of La Porte, IN; two brothers, Randy (Jill) Elkins of La Porte, IN, Steve Elkins of OH; sister, Lisa Jones of La Porte, IN; nine grandchildren, Alivia, Sadie, Jade, Rosalynn, Maximus, Rose, Kayson, Ellawyn, Kaydence;

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. A visitation will take place at the funeral home Friday, January 12 from 11 am until service time at 1 pm. A Celebration of Life will take place at 1 PM with Pastor Bob Vale officiating. We will then go to Graceland Cemetery in Valporaiso for burial of cremated remains.
