Cynthia Francis Obituary
Cynthia owned her own businesses for many years. She was the original owner of 426 Fitness in Warren and, later, Bethany Fitness in Bristol. In her leisure time, Cynthia enjoyed travelling, wintering in Florida with her husband, cooking for her friends and family. She always attended the Bristol 4th of July Celebration and even won Miss 4th of July in 1974. She also enjoyed playing the accordion and loved to spend time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her beloved husband, Joseph, Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Bethany Francis of Bristol, RI; her sisters. Denise Henne of Bradenton, FL and Brenda Marshall of Bristol, RI; her two grandchildren, Caiden and Edward, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Joseph Francis II.
Services are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI 02885, where the family will receive relatives and guests for Visitation on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 3-7PM with a short prayer service at 5:30PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 9-10AM followed immediately by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood St. Bristol, RI 02809. A Private Burial will be held at a later date.
