Cynthia Lea Hackbarth

Cynthia Lea "Cindy" Hackbarth, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away at Solara Hospital in Harlingen on December 3, 2025, at the age of 78.

Cindy was a nurturing soul who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her passion for cooking and baking brought warmth to her family gatherings, and her delightful treats were a testament to her love. She had a special place in her heart for her family, cherishing every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Her hands were always busy, knitting beautiful mittens for her daughter's students, a reflection of her generous spirit and commitment to nurturing others.

Cindy was preceded in death by her loving father, Lawrence Roy Abbott; her cherished mother, Ruby Newborg; and her dear brother, Terry Abbott. She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Michael Hackbarth, her daughter Heather Hackbarth, her son Hunter Hackbarth, three beloved grandchildren, and five precious great-grandchildren.

Her legacy of love, kindness, and creativity will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of her family and friends.
