Cynthia Lynn Swain “Cindy” Harrell, 56, of 806 Cabarrus Street, Edenton, NC, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025, in Currituck Health and Rehabilitation, Barco.
Mrs. Harrell was born November 25, 1968, and was the daughter of Virginia Slaughter Swain of Currituck and the late James Henry Swain. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard “Ricky” Warren, and a brother, Les Swain.
Raised in Currituck County, through the years she had been employed in child daycare services and as a cashier with 7-Eleven. A former member of New Day Church, more recently she attended Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving along with her mother is her husband of 10 years, Terry Lynn Harrell; sister, Debra Swain; two brothers, Tim Swain and Tommy Slaughter; her brother-in-law, Jerry Harrell; her canine companion, LooLoo Grace; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Due to the expected inclement weather, the memorial service has been postponed and will be held Saturday, January 25, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be conducted by Pastor Danny Gurganus. Friends may visit with the family in the funeral Home immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray medical and other related expenses.
