Cynthia Hudgins Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Texarkana Funeral Home - Texas - Texarkana on Jan. 1, 2026.
Cynthia (Sindi) Faye Hudgins, age 76, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, and entered the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.

She was born on February 21, 1949, in Sterling, Colorado, to Irvin and Verna Johnson. Sindi was of the Baptist faith and was baptized at Unity Baptist Church in Texarkana, Texas.

She spent her childhood growing up on the family farm in Imperial, Nebraska. After graduating from high school, she moved to Dallas, Texas, where she worked for Frontier Airlines.

Sindi met the love of her life and future husband, Jack, on a blind date. After six months of dating, they were married, sharing fifty-six wonderful years together. She loved people and enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises. This passion led her to become a travel agent; a career she cherished until declining health forced her into retirement.

Sindi was creative and joyful. She loved painting, crafting, singing, fishing, camping, and playing guitar hero with her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed having a house full of family-singing karaoke, dominos, or playing card games. Her love for her family was evident in all she did, and she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Verna Johnson; and her sister, Donna Gibb.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years, Jack Hudgins; daughter Shannon Johnson and husband Russell of Benton, Arkansas; sons Shane Hudgins and wife Teri of New Boston, Texas, and Sean Hudgins and husband Ronald of Hurst, Texas; grandchildren Robbin Hall and husband Ryan, Haley Hudgins and husband Blake, Colton Reeves and wife Aleigha, Justin Hudgins and wife Julie, Coby Reeves and wife Annabel, and Caleb Johnson; seven great-grandchildren; brother Barry Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Red Lick Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Dierksen Hospice excellent care given to our family and Sindi during this difficult time.
