Cynthia Ann Jayroe, 62, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was known to her friends and family as Cindy. She was born September 14, 1963 to Reid Kerr Faries and Elizabeth Ann King. She was a loving wife and mother.
Caring for others was second nature to Cindy, so she chose a career that would enable her to do just that, a nurse. She graduated Nursing School at Hinds Community College. She had been a nurse for over 45 years. She made countless friends as well as making an impact on every patient she cared for.
Cindy was a great cook and was always looking through recipe books to find something new to fix for her men; her husband and 2 sons, She had such an infectious smile and a positive attitude. She loved to dance and sing.
Cindy was a member of Pinelake Baptist Church where she felt at home and looked forward to attending services every chance she could.
She is preceded in death by her dear mother, Elizabeth Ann Blaylock and her adoring father, Reid Kerr Faries, as well as her grandmothers, Velma Berry and Rachael King.
Cindy was survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Melvin Jayroe, and her two sons, Jason Luke and William Kyle, as well as her brother, Philip Reid Faries.
There will be a Visitation on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 11 am until the hour of the service, 12 pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. She will be laid to rest following the service at Floral Hills Memorial Garden in Pearl, MS.
