Cynthia Bannerman Johnson passed away on October 15, 2025-the morning of her 68th birthday.
She was born on October 15, 1957, at St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida, to Amos
Bannerman and Novella Bannerman.

Cynthia spent most of her childhood in Fairfield, California, where she attended and graduated from
Armijo High School before continuing her studies at Solano Community College. She proudly served
in the United States Air Force, beginning with basic training in Biloxi, Mississippi, followed by her
first assignment at Edwards Air Force Base in the Mojave Desert. There she began a chapter filled
with duty, adventure, discovery, and purpose.

After her military service, Cynthia returned to Fairfield and began her 30-plus-year Civil Service career
at Travis Air Force Base, later joining the Air Force Reserves. It was during this time that she met and
married Gerald Johnson, and together they built a loving family grounded in military life, strength,
and devotion.

Cynthia leaves behind her four children, whom she loved, loved, loved: Adilah Everett Long, Gerald
Anthony Johnson, Deniece Nicole Johnson, and Eric Johnson.

She also leaves her daughters-in-law, Sylvia Johnson and Nina Johnson; her son-in-law, Charles Long;
and her beloved grandchildren - Erina, Nia, Nala, Aiyanna, and Amaya - who each brought great
joy to her heart.

Cynthia lived a full and vibrant life. She loved to sing and delighted others with her unwavering belief
that she was a fabulous singer. Her quirky sense of humor brought laughter wherever she went, and
her passion for cooking warmed many hearts and homes. A world traveler, she lived in and visited
many places, embracing new cultures and adventures with grace, curiosity, and joy.

She is preceded in death by her father, Amos Bannerman, and her brother, Harold Ernest Bannerman.
She is lovingly survived by her mother, Novella Bannerman, age 90, and siblings Earl Bashir Ali,
Veronica Bannerman Tyler, Patricia Bannerman Jackson, and Jennifer Bannerman.

With loving hearts, we will forever remember Cynthia - daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She
brought love, laughter, and light to all who knew her, and her spirit will continue to shine through the
lives she touched.
