Cynthia P. "Cindy" Millikin, 71, of Julian, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, October 31, 2025. Born on April 5, 1954, in Kent, England, she was the daughter of the late Douglas R. and Vera C. (Munday) Summersby. On September 14, 1972, in Levittown, PA, she married the love of her life, David A. Millikin, who preceded her in death on June 30, 2021.
Cindy attended Pennsbury High School and worked for a time at The Plastics Company in Levittown before dedicating herself fully to being a homemaker-a role she cherished deeply. She was a devoted caregiver, not only to her family and friends, but especially to her beloved husband, David, during his illness.
A woman of deep faith, Cindy was a member of the Catholic Church. She had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up the darkest room. For more than 35 years, she proudly celebrated her sobriety in AA and found great joy in helping others on their own recovery journeys-especially as a sponsor to her granddaughter, Destiny.
Cindy had a playful spirit and a wonderful sense of humor. She loved to color, play pranks on her family, and keep her home spotless. Those who knew her well will smile remembering how quickly she could tidy up anything left out of place-she never tolerated clutter for long!
Cindy is survived by her daughter, Sharon A. Russman-Millikin, of Julian; eight beloved grandchildren: Destiny "Dessy Doo" Jenkins and her fiancé, Glenn Wallace, Madisyn "Maddi" Millikin, Bentley "Benny" Russman, Shayna "Shay-Shay" Russman, Devon Russman, Mendy Russman, Bryan Russman, and Edward Russman, III. She is also survived by a close family friend who became like a daughter, Dawnelle Luppe of Julian, who lovingly cared for Cindy for many years.
Also surviving are her sisters, Julie Hills of Kent, England, and Elaine Richetti of Levittown, PA; several nieces and nephews; and her cherished feline companion, Lulu. In addition to her parents and husband, Cindy was preceded in death by her sister, Sharron Summersby; brother, Rolfe Stapenell; and her loyal dog, Shuggie.
In keeping with Cindy's wishes, all services will be private.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc., Milesburg, PA. An online guestbook may be signed, and condolences shared with the family at www.daughenbaughfuneralhome.com
