During her long and active life, she also resided in Shreveport, Louisiana as well as Dallas, Texas. She was a member of Circle 8 Dance Group, sewed quilts for The Friends of the Cabildo Museum, and enjoyed line dancing and gardening. Her greatest joy when not with family, was being able to spend quality time with her many dear friends.
