~ Remembering Her Journey ~
The world became a much brighter place on Thursday, August 7, 1958 in the lives of Ezekiel Thomas Harrison, Sr., and Maelean Halton Harrison on the arrival of their first beautiful, bouncy baby girl who they affectionately names, Cynthia. She was also known as “Cynthi Baby” by her family. Cynthia united with First Missionary Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Pete Lambert. She served as an usher and was a member of the choir.
She attended Sparkman Training School and then Sparkman High School. In 1975, she married Charles Edward Daniel and to this union, six children were born. Their love was one of wonder, dedication, and commitment until the untimely passing on March 20, 1990. In 1991, she married Michael Maurice Wright, and to this union, two beautiful daughters were born. On May 9, 1999, Michael passed from time into eternity. In 2023, she married Carlton Owens.
Cynthia was employed at Masterson of Sparkman until its closing and for the same company after being relocated to East Camden, Arkansas. She was also employed at Aalfs in Arkadelphia, Arkansas for several years, then at New Horizon Daycare of Sparkman, Arkansas. Cynthia was a die-hard Arkansas Razorback & Pittsburg Steelers fan! She enjoyed fishing and playing Spades. She loved her grandchildren and her great-grandson.
On Sunday, December 31, 2023, at the home of her daughter, LaKendra, and with family at her side, she peacefully gained her wings. Those who were waiting for arrival were her children, Renea Daniel (May 1, 1990), Charles Lamont Daniel (October 28, 2013); her father, Ezekiel T. Harrison, Sr. (April 24, 2002); two brothers, Tracy L. Harrison (July 19, 1992), Ezekiel T. Harrison, Jr. (January 27, 2010); two sisters, Patricia Harrison-Carroll (August 24, 2020), Linnie Jean Lowery (March 28, 2021) and a very special cousin, Alice Mae Happy Austin (August 10, 2011).
Those who are left to cherish her memories are her husband, Carlton Owens of Warren, AR; 3 sons, Kawannis “Shun” (Amanda) Daniel of Arkadelphia, AR; Jonathan Daniel of Marianna, AR; Malcolm (Lishah) Daniel of Arkadelphia, AR; 4 daughters, Shundrika (Elvis) Daniel of Sparkman, AR; LaKendra Thompson of Sparkman, AR; Porsha Wright of Little Rock, AR; Tracey (Davon) Wright of Conway, AR; 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson; bonus children, Donald Wayne Owens, Mark Owens both of Sparkman, AR; Morris Milton and Shelia Milton of Milwaukee, WI; Carolyn Harding of Warren, AR; Vincent Owens of Columbus, GA; Greg (Carla) Owens of Little Rock, AR; Ramona Owens of Memphis, TN; LaToya Juniel of Hot Springs, AR; Justin (Mindy) Wright of Minot, ND; her mother, Maelean Halton Harrison of Arkadelphia, AR; one brother, Ricky (Phyllis) Harrison of Sparkman, AR; one sister, Rosemary (Dawson) Williams of Jacksonville, AR; special friend, Theresa Davis of Warren, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.
