Cynthia Zepniewski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lee-Ellena Funeral Home on Mar. 16, 2022.
Cynthia "Cindy" Zepniewski was born on May 28, 1958 to Lyle and Jackie Bliss in Mt. Clemens, MI. She met her beloved husband Dave, while attending L'Ance Creuse High School and quickly became high school sweethearts. Cindy and Dave were married on February 11, 1978 and together they raised two beautiful children, Shelley and Carl.
Cindy was the number one caretaker to her family and made sure the home was a safe and loving place. Through her children Cindy was able to pass on her gentle, caring nature. She was a wonderful mother and always stayed active in their lives, attending all of Shelley's band performances and Carl's races. Cindy enjoyed organizing family vacations and together the family visited many destinations, including the East Coast, Florida and a cross country trip to see Dave and Carl rally race at Pikes Peak in Colorado.
When they were not traveling or taking weekend car rides around Michigan, Cindy and Dave spent many long hours on the family boat and swimming in the lake. Cindy was a strong student, with an Associates Degree in Computer Science and always enjoyed reading and learning new things.
On March 15, 2022, Cindy succomed to frontotemporal dementia at the age of sixty-three. Though we grieve the loss of mother, sister, aunt and friend, we will never forget the love Cindy passed on to everyone she knew.
She will be greatly missed.
Cindy is survived by her children Shelley Zepniewski and Carl (Jessica) Zepniewski; grandson Parker, brother Jeffrey (Julie) Bliss and many extended loved ones and dear friends. Cindy was preceded in death by her husband David Zepniewski and her parents Lyle and Jacqueline Bliss.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Cindy to the Dementia Society of America.
