D. Baumgartner Obituary

D. Kevin Baumgartner, 69, of Washington, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, after a brief illness. Born June 7, 1956, he was the son of late John Baumgartner and Jean White Allen and stepfather, A. Leroy Allen Sr. Kevin was a 1974 graduate of Trinity High School. He is survived by his daughter, Audrey D. (Derek) D'Emilio and granddaughter, Liliana J. D'Emilio; his fiancee, Jacqueline Bishop; sisters, Margaret A. (Harold) Carty and Janet L. (Richard) Shriver; brother, John J. (Nancy) Baumgartner; stepbrother, Randolph J. (Becky) Allen; stepsister, Susan M. (Art) Richardson; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his stepbrother, A. Leroy (Susan, survives) Allen Jr.; a nephew, Charles W. Miles of New Jersey; and niece, Carrie L. Shriver. Kevin worked for Pennsylvania Drilling, McClaren Hart, Conestoga Rovers, Alex Paris and Local 66 as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Throughout his life, Kevin enjoyed hunting, boating, water skiing, snow skiing and playing with his dogs. Kevin loved watching NASCAR races, especially his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. At home, Kevin found peace sitting on the porch sipping tea with his fiancee and appreciating the quiet moments in life. Kevin was a caring and generous man who had a very strong work ethic which was admired by his co-workers. He will be missed by his family, friends and co-workers. A private memorial service will held on Saturday, November 15 at North Buffalo Church Cemetery.

Kevin was my neighbor on Smiley Road and worked with my brothers Dave and Bob at Pennsylvania Drilling. They always had funny stories of their time working out of time. So sorry for your loss
