D’Wayne C. Hampton was born on October 26, 1978, in Portland, Oregon, to Vanessa Royal Hampton and Calvin C. Haskin. From an early age, D’Wayne showed a bright spirit and a natural curiosity about the world. He attended Centennial High School, where he enjoyed learning and connecting with others, leaving lasting impressions on classmates and teachers alike.
D’Wayne was known for his warm personality, expressive nature, and genuine love for people. He had a gift for making others feel seen and valued, especially children, who were naturally drawn to his joyful energy. His laughter was contagious, and his presence could light up any room.
A true go-getter, D’Wayne carried a strong determination to better himself and pursue his goals. He believed in forward motion — always striving, always pushing, always dreaming. Though his journey here was not without challenges, he faced life with resilience, heart, and hope.
While he may no longer be physically with us, D’Wayne’s spirit lives on through the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the memories that remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He will forever be remembered for his kindness, strength, and unmistakable light.
