Cremation Society of New Hampshire - BoscawenD. Grace Willey, 96, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025, at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH, surrounded by her loving family.
Born October 27, 1928, in Manchester, NH, Grace was the daughter of Edgar and Bertha (Hoff) Lackey. She was a longtime resident of Concord and made her home in Penacook in later years.
On December 11, 1947, she married Joseph M. Willey, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage before his passing on October 26, 2009.
Grace worked as an assembler at Beede Electric in Penacook for 12 years. Over the years, she also held roles with the New Hampshire Department of Motor Vehicles, Facit Printer, and as a telephone solicitor for the American Heart Association. Her strong work ethic and independent spirit were hallmarks of her life.
In her free time, Grace enjoyed going to the casino to play the slots, a favorite pastime that brought her joy and laughter. She also loved spending time with her best friend Kay.She was always a happy go Lucky person with a big smile.
She is survived by her six children: Glenn Willey, Garry Willey, Greg Willey, Glenda Bertalomi, Gloria O'Neil, and Laurie Coffey; 15 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph, her daughter Gail Lennon, her brothers Wight Skelton and Edgar R. Lackey, and her sister Laura Bascom.
A graveside service will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, in Boscawen, on Wednesday September 24th at 3:00pm
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
