There is an empty space left in the hearts of many. His music has played a major part in so many lives. He will be greatly missed. The Bible makes this comforting promise:"Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are brushed in spirit he save."-Psalm 34:18

It is a sad day in Japan and through out the world with the loss of such a talented and wonderful man. Taiko drumming is certainly a form of art and talent. And this man brought this talent for all to see, do and enjoy. May the heavens above ring out with your drums.

Thank you for bringing Taiko to the world. You will be greatly missed. We were so lucky to have studied with him four years ago. He was so kind to us. You knew when you talked to him just how special he really was. He will never be forgotten in our Dojo.

I'll be performing tonight with a pair of bachi I had the honor of him signing for me many years ago. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit will be with us through every beat.

We are all better for grandmaster Oguchi having been among us, his having shown us the way to our heart's true rhythm. A blessing on his coming and a blessing on his going. Drum on!
