Dakota William Thompkins

Dakota William Thomkins, born June 17, 1996, in Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of kindness, curiosity, and love for nature. Dakota lived a life filled with simple joys and meaningful passions. He found peace in the outdoors, where he spent countless hours fishing, camping, hunting, and searching for arrowheads. He had a genuine appreciation for the land, evident through his love of growing vegetables and beekeeping. He was also known for his enjoyment of home brewing and raising chickens. Dakota was a devoted family member, loved by many and known for his sincere heart and gentle spirit. He is survived by his parents, David Thompkins and Jean J. Paul, his stepfather, James Paul; his aunt and uncle, Libby and Houston Fitzgerald; and his uncle, Richard Tompkins. He is also survived by his brothers, Jonathan Watson, AJ West, and Dustyn Alexander. His stepbrothers, Justin Willard, Cody Paul (Destiny), Casey Paul (Julie), and Chet Paul; and his stepsisters, Jamie Pace (Josh), Erin Hack (Russell), and Ashley Rayson (Montana), also carry his memory forward, along with several nieces and nephews who adored him. He is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, William and Francis Thompkins, and his aunt Judy Alexander. Dakota's love for nature, his generous spirit, and the joy he brought to those around him will be remembered always. His presence touched many lives, and though he will be deeply missed, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel and Crematory. Funeral services will follow immediately at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel.
