Dale R. Barnett, age 84, was born on October 3, 1940, and passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family at his side. He went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2024.
Dale graduated from Canton McKinley High School. He was a self-taught engineer, having learned most of his skills from his father. Along with his brother, he co-owned a company that specialized in industrial design and consulting. For over 30 years, Dale worked primarily as a self-employed professional in the Akron, Ohio area.
Dale loved drag racing with his son Craig Barnett who unfortunately passed before him on September 18, 2024, winning only once against his son. Dale enjoyed flying remote-controlled airplanes which he built, watching Star Trek, and studying Astronomy, he always searched for meaning in his life.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter Chari Barnett, a niece Michelle Barnett, his brother Glenn Barnett “Jr”, and his son Craig Barnett.
Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 62 years whom he married on September 1st 1962 Ruth E. (Fishel) Barnett; daughter, Wendy C. Barnett; son, Dale D. Barnett; sisters, Glenna Barnett and Jane Dima; grandchildren, Ashley (Tom) Ciraci, Andrew Ciraci, Matthew Ciraci, Katie Barnett, Alina Ciraci, and Curtis (Xena) Barnett; great-grandchildren, Noah, Elijah, Liliana, Silas, Davina, Elenora, and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Dale will take place on Saturday, November 30th, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by his funeral service at 2:00 p.m. A private family burial will occur at a later date.
