Dale A. Byrne, age 73, of Englewood, passed away December 6, 2025. He was born August 14, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Bob and Dorothy Byrne. In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his sister, Daisy Byrne and granddaughter, Amber.
Dale is survived by his wife for 22 years, Joy Byrne; children, Stacey and Otis Gay, and Rob Byrne; step-daughters Kristen Gregory, Nicole Newport, and Valerie Kahl; and grandchildren: Shayla, Drew, Micah, Cory, Zach, Grace, Andrew, Danielle, Alex, Brianna, and Kyle.
Dale was a semi truck driver for several decades before finishing up his career as a corrections officer in Kentucky. He was a gentle giant who loved watching Hallmark movies and soap operas. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, enjoyed boating, traveling, playing cards, doing jigsaw puzzles and deer watching at the lake. Dale loved all different kinds of food, especially pork tenderloins. He loved animals including German Shepherds and his beloved cat, Snooki. More than anything, Dale loved his family.
At his request, there will be no service. His family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
