Dale Eugene Christensen

Dale Eugene Christensen, 89, of Edmore, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2025. He was born on May 24, 1936, in Parma Township Albion, Michigan, the son of Harry and Florence (Hansen) Christensen.

Dale graduated from Edmore High School in 1954, where he was a proud three-sport athlete, competing in football, basketball, and track. After high school, he honorably served his country in the U.S. Army on active duty following the Korean War.

On July 18, 1959, Dale married his high school sweetheart, Frances Musson, beginning a beautiful partnership of more than 66 years. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, and hard work. He was a member of the Church of Gentle Shepherd.

Growing up on a dairy farm, Dale learned the value of dedication early in life, a quality that stayed with him always. He enjoyed the simple pleasures-Saturday euchre games, and time spent mowing, which brought him peace and satisfaction. Dale was a happy soul, known for his contagious laugh, forgiving nature, and the way he could brighten any room he walked into. Seldom upset and always ready with a smile, he carried a joyful spirit that made him beloved by many.

More than anything, Dale's greatest joy in life was his family. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were his proudest accomplishments and his favorite pastime. He never missed an opportunity to support, encourage, or brag about them.

Dale is survived by his devoted wife, Frances; children, Todd Christensen, Scot (Debbie) Christensen, and Jill Christensen (Garth Wells); grandchildren: Ryan (Latasha) Christensen, Ryan (Cortney) Devlin, Wyatt (MacKenna) Devlin, Dani Christensen, Brett Christensen, Shane (Alley) Stewart, and Marah (Calvin) Cross. He is also survived by his step-grandchildren: Clifford Nielsen, Steven Nielsen, Kenneth Nielsen, and Chrissy (Bob) Champlin; and his great-grandchildren: Rakenna Christensen, Kaleb Stockton, Zech Hansen, Reid Christensen, Jaxon Devlin, Dylan Woolworth, Delilah Cross, Riley Cross, and Levi Stewart; his brother Larry (Marian) Christensen; and several step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Florence Christensen, brothers Danny(Sheila), Keith, and Gary(Shirley), sister Leona "Lee",(Ivan) and his in-laws, RB and Lucy Musson.

Dale will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his kindness, his laughter, and the deep love he held for his family. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and in the generations who carry his joy forward.
