Dale Eugene Fuller
08/22/1938 - 02/19/2026
After 87 wonderful years of life, Dale Eugene Fuller passed away on February 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 22, 1938, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Anna Marie Roth Fuller and Thomas Charles Fuller, Dale was the youngest of three Fuller boys. He attended Bishop Ward Catholic High School before moving to Texas for his senior year at the all-boys Corpus Christi Catholic College Academy, where he graduated with the Class of 1957.He earned degrees in microbiology and chemistry from Texas A & IUniversityin Kingsville.
Upon graduation, he proudly served in the United States Army fortwo yearsas a medical researcher in the laboratory at Fort Carson, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Upon military completion, he continued his medical and scientific research atthe University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas.
On October 26, 1963,he married his high school sweetheart, Sybil Georgene Trice. The couple settled in Corpus Christi near both their parents. They proudly raised three sons: Andrew James Fuller, Jeffrey Dale Fuller, and Jason Roth Fuller. Through the years they were very dedicated to their aging parents.
Building a career rooted in hard work, loyalty and dedication as achemist, he oversaw the same laboratory over four decades through ownership of three different companies:Corn Products Corporation,Sabre Oil,and finallyValero Refineries.
In 2004Dale and Georgene relocated to Pearland, Texas to be closer to their sons who lived in Houston. One of their hobbies was visiting all 254 Texas county courthouses. They enjoyed the blessing of their grandchildren, Thomas Vine Fuller and KateAnnemarieFuller, who both brought "Opa" endless joy.
In retirement, Dale started an annual tradition of embarking on multi-week international trips accompanied by one of his sons.He took nine trips that included guided tours ofSouth Africa, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Japan, China, Australia, Scotland, Ireland, South America, Italy and Scandinavia.
Dale enjoyed46yearsof marriage until Georgene passed away in2010.
Dale was fortunate enough to find love again when he met Margaret Magillof Australia who was a fellow traveler on one of his world tours. They kept in touch and exchanged wedding vows in 2016 at theCathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham in Houston.
During 10 years of wedded bliss, the couple traveled through Canada and reached their goal of visiting all 50 states. They also road tripped to many United States National Parks, including Monument Valley, Yellowstone, Yosemite, Glacier, Grand Teton, and Big Bend.
Dale and Margaret spent time at home gardening, feeding the ducks and ducklings from the neighborhood creek, and enjoying a good, homebrewed beer from their makeshift garage enterprise fondly known by friends and family as The Pearland Brewery.
Always witty, Dale was the kind of person who enjoyed life. He loved travel, nature, history, architecture, photography, science, and good times with his family.
A devout Catholic, Dale never missed weekly mass.He was a long-timemember of theKnights of Columbus, achieving the high honor of 4th Degree Knight. In his later years, he had the honor of being the head honcho for cooking the green beans at fish fries on Friday nights during Lent.
He fought bravely through every life challenge, and in doing so, taught those around him what strength, faith and family really mean. His tips for living a good, long life include marrying well and enjoying a bowl of ice cream every night.
