Dale Garris

So sorry to see of this, not sure where to begin ..... I was in high school when I met Dale when he got out of the Navy. He was buds with Tony Ratini (his high school and Navy buddy). Tony lived behind me and when the boys in the neighborhood would play basketball and football, we let the old men (Dale and Tony) play. Man, could Dale throw a football. We all played basketball every Saturday morning in any gym we could find. He and I got along great, we were always busting each other´s chops (he being a Panther and me a Viking).

That´s the Dale I remember, to think of him brings a big smile to my face.

Rest in peace, my old friend.

I hope Dale and Albert are having a very good time in heaven together. Maybe, having a round of golf together. Rest in Peace with my beloved Albert.

Just learned about Mr. Garris' passing. He was my basketball coach in the mid-80's. He pushed me me hard...yelled at me a lot but now as a parent, I have passed in the passion of basketball, football and baseball to my son. I yell a lot thanks to Coach. Dale I have fond memories of our days at Shore Jr. High and Euclid High from many, many years ago. Continental Products has never been the same since the days of you, Danny Hoffman, Jake Koss, and Danny Paul. We were all so young. That adolescence grew into a fine teacher, great coach, admired administrator, loving husband, and a good man. You are missed. My condolences to your wife.

So sorry to hear of Dale's passing. I have not seen him since his Mentor AD days. I will always remember his student teaching days at Mayfield with myself,Terry Hurley and of course The O'Janpa. Great times back in the day! RIP!

I remember you and Dale from years ago when we were taking the Gary Russell Classes together. We had been stopped and given a ticket for speeding. The class was so kind as to take up a donation because by us being stopped, they were not and got by.

I believe that you and Dale had only been married a few years and impressed me as being such a lovely couple.
