I was just bragging about you and I reread your Obituary and realized I was not bragging but telling the truth about you. Sure do miss you a lot. Your Granddaughter Ella is a lot like you. She is very mechanical, everyone likes her and she is unassuming and kind. Scott updated your Coupe and is taking excellent care of it. He fixed the battery drain problem, all new suspension and braking. He had it repainted as well. This winter he is going to complete the trunk & install shoulder harness. Next year is putting electronic fuel injection. It´s a real great driver still.

Lisa, Scott, and Mrs Hall I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. Mr Hall was such a wonderful man. I will always remember his smile and the time he flew me home from Martha's Vineyard. It was my first time being in a small plane but he eased my worries and made it an adventure that I will always cherish.Warmest Regards,Karen Brown

Sad to hear of Dale\'s passing. In 1978, my racing partner, Norm Wheeldon and I met him at Ontario, and subsequently bought a small block from him. He shipped it to England, where it was placed in a pro comp dragster, and became successful in that class. In fact I believe one of the engines currently raced by Norm has some originalparts, not many now I guess. so to his family, there is still a little bit of Dale in England. RIP.Dale Hall.

For Dale Hall's family we are saddened by your loss. Dale was patient with the young car enthusiast He helped through the years. He taught many how set up an engine for the best performance with his expert knowledge. I still have an engine both Dale and Nom Case built 40 years ago and it runs great.

We are all saddened by your loss. Dale was a one of a kind person and one of the best small block Chevy men to ever grace a drag strip. He may be gone, but he will not be forgotten. RIP Dale. Dick Fox

In 1973, Dale agreed to take me, an 18-year-old photographer, to the Indy Nationals along with himself, Norm, and Rick. That was the beginning of a long friendship at the track, and my first meeting with Justine at their home in Granby. Connecting with Scott via the Connecticut Dragway Memories page on FaceBook allowed me to tell some old stories of travels with Dale, and many people appreciated that. It is comforting to hear that he passed away peacefully, and my thoughts are with all of his family.

Justine, Scott and Lisa..........
Even though you knew this day would happen, it doesn't take away the profound loss of a great man...husband...father...grandad.

I will keep the good memories in my heart.

He is with Norman, his friend and partner in Precision Automotive. I've no doubt they are planning the next small block Chevy.

There is no greater joy, nor greater reward then to make a fundamental difference in someone' life"

Justine, Scott, Lisa, family & friends, we are so sorry to hear of the loss of Dale today. I know we haven't been in close contact for many years, but I have many fond memories of funny and crazy adventures with Dale. My first car was his old huge old black 76 Monte Carlo, (which always ran perfect), to tagging along on a few flights in the plane flying down the Hudson river down to Englishtown to attend a race from the starting line (so much fun), to watching bit by bit as Dale hand built that gorgeous 37' Chevy with the incredible 513 CI engine. I remember Scott and I helping him install and remove the engine at least a few times. I’m sure it was many more times than that before he got it just right. One memorable time Dale, Scott and I had gone to some kind of event in Springfield, I think it was at the Big E fairgrounds, something about Motorsports, swap meet, or something (OK, so that part wasn’t memorable, but the next part was). On the way home, we stopped in Southwick, at a gas station because Dale said he was hungry. Scott and I waited outside in the nice weather. Dale came back out with a couple hot dogs and a soda. He handed me the keys, and he climbed in the passenger seat of his Electra. He had just bought the car recently, as he had just sold his old car to me a couple months before. I stood there for a few seconds holding the keys, as I only had my driver’s license for a week or so. He had asked me to drive so he could eat. I was incredibly nervous, but he was completely relaxed and was talking and joking as we drove back to Haven drive while he ate his lunch. That simple act of trust really gave me confidence as a young driver. One of the funniest things I ever saw Dale do was with Scott’s Buick. Scott mentioned that it wasn’t running that well, so Dale jumped in the driver’s seat, Scott in the passenger seat, and I got in the back. We went around the corner and down the hill to a long straight stretch where Dale proceeded to do a 300’+ long burnout with Scott’s car, severely shortening the life of one rear tire (it wasn't a Posi at that time) and saying flatly to Scott “Seems fine to me”, and we drove back to the house in a tense silence. I think Scott was pretty upset because the tires were almost new at the time. The world has lost a very kind, loving and creative genius today. Rest in peace Dale.Keith
