In Celebration of Dale J Pearson
Dale J. Pearson passed peacefully on Saturday, September 10, after his long and courageous battle with multiple medical issues.
Born May 27, 1957, in Kingsburg, California, he lived all over the country and abroad while his late father, Roger Pearson, served in the Air Force.
Dale went on to study chemistry, receiving degrees from Texas Lutheran University and the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He spent 38 years working at IBM, first as a scientist in his own field, second climbing the ladder, then moving from base technology to systems, and finally to corporate strategy where he worked on cross-IBM projects.
Dale had many hobbies and talents, including golf, wood working (both fine woodwork and construction, with a specific passion for demolition), nature photography and fly fishing. He loved to travel – from piloting small planes to sailing off the coast of Maine, he was an enthusiastic explorer on land, air and sea.
Dale amassed a wealth of knowledge through his broad experiences and deep curiosity, enriching all in his sphere. A steadfast and supportive spouse, friend, and colleague, he will be missed by all who knew him, and always remembered through the innumerable happy memories that he created with them.
Dale is survived by his wife Karen, Harper (their Rhodesian Ridgeback), and mother Roberta Pearson.
Family, friends and colleagues are invited to join us for a celebration of his life and to enjoy a few of his favorite things on Sunday October 16, 2022 from 4- 6 pm in the Gallery of the Walker Center for the Arts on the Harvey School campus at 260 Jay Street, Katonah New York, 10536.
