Dale was a life-time mechanic, classic car and hot rod enthusiast, he moved to Ramah, New Mexico in 1984 to give it a go at being a cowboy ranch hand for his father-in-law. As a jack of all trades he always had something to fall back on which helped him provide for his family. He became a master of calligraphy and pool (billiards.)
